Start your day with mindful reflection.

Start your day with mindful reflection.

Bring yourself back to self.

My morning routine has been all over the place but a few things always stays consistent: Opening the windows, drinking a big glass of water, giving Narnia some love, and taking a few deep breaths.

That process is truly less than 5 minutes and while I would love to have 30 minutes- 1 hour every morning to meditate, journal do yoga, etc, etc, I have come to peace with doing the best I can to jumpstart my day! ALL you really need is 5 minutes to get your day started right. As soon as that alarm goes off, you give yourself permission for just 5 minutes to move slow and go steady.

Whether you only have time for 3 deep breaths, a few morning stretches, or just enough time to scramble breakfast together, each of these things can be done with mindfulness. Even breakfast can be a meditation and an act of peace.

If you do have the extra time in the morning, I encourage you to begin your own morning routine with what works for you.

Doesn't mean you have to journal or meditate or drink lemon water etc. etc. It's something that supports your peace state and your best mindset moving into your day. May this short and sweet post encourage you to delve into a morning routine- whether you have 3 minutes or 20.
